Background
On 1 March 2011 Origin purchased Country Energy's electricity and gas retailing business. Origin is now the new energy retailer for most of Country Energy's electricity and some gas customers. Origin and Country Energy have been working together to integrate the businesses so the change from Country Energy to Origin happens smoothly, without any inconvenience to customers.
If you were a Country Energy customer your electricity supply will not be affected in any way and you do not need to do anything. (Prices did not change on 1 March 2011, and the convenient payment options currently enjoyed will go unchanged). For more information
