LPG

Country Energy LPG for your home

What is LPG and where does it come from?
LPG stands for Liquefied Petroleum Gas. It is a non-toxic, non-corrosive hydrocarbon fuel. Heavier than air, it contains one or more of the gases propane, butane and propylene. LPG can be stored as a compact liquid under moderate pressure, and is then burned as a dry, gaseous vapour. It’s produced in refineries from oil using a process called fractionation.
