renewable energy

There are many forms of renewable energy being developed by Country Energy.

Renewable energy is energy derived from sources that cannot be depleted or can be replaced such as solar, wind, biomass, wave or hydro.

Click here for a map that shows the green energy sites Country Energy has already established with our energy partners. We are committed to developing more in the future.

biomass

Organic material, such as crop and rubbish tip waste, can be collected and used to generate electricity. The methane gas that would have otherwise been released into the atmosphere by this material decomposing, is captured and used to generate electricity.

wave and tidal power

New technologies are currently under development that will allow the efficient harnessing of wave and tidal energy to generate electricity. Several pilot plants for both Wave and Tidal power generation are currently being constructed in Australia.
