Country Energy operates electricity and natural gas networks throughout NSW.
Our electricity network covers more than three quarters of NSW and parts of southern Queensland, making it one of the largest in Australia. It consists of more than 195,000 kilometres of powerlines and 1.4 million poles.
Our network is used to transport energy safely and reliably to customers. We monitor it constantly and carry out aerial patrols to pinpoint areas that need special consideration or upgrading.
To carry out maintenance work safely, we sometimes need to schedule a power outage. When planning these outages, we endeavour to ensure minimum disruption to customers by giving advance notice.
With all work, we take care not to adversely affect the local environment.
