Country Energy’s Demand Management Program follows the Demand Management for Electricity Distributors, NSW Code of Practice (2004) by:-

• giving appropriate recognition to the value of Demand Management in the rational planning of it’s electricity infrastructure
• providing a transparent and equitable treatment in the comparison of network augmentation and Demand Management options
• informing the community regarding our network investment plans and encouraging proposals from external stakeholders for alternative non-network solutions.

Where it is deemed reasonable that a Demand Management strategy will be cost effective a Request for Proposal will be issued, publicly advertised and released to the Demand Management Register of Interested Parties.
