What are the benefits and conditions?
The apprenticeships are for a 4 year term unless otherwise stated and employment conditions are covered under the Country Energy Enterprise Award 2007.
The ordinary hours of work are 36 per week to be worked in an eight hour day, over a nine day fortnight. (Employees have a Rostered Day Off once a fortnight).
The commencement grade and salary for apprentices under the age of 21 is Apprentice/Trainee Grade 1 $463.41 per week, paid fortnightly. Progression occurs annually on satisfactory completion of assessments throughout the year. Apprentices who turn 21 during their apprenticeship will be regraded, effective from their 21st birthday, to Apprentice/Trainee Grade 4 $730.60 per week, paid fortnightly, and remain on that grade till completion of their apprenticeship. The rate of pay for mature aged apprentices (i.e. 21 yrs at the commencement date of their apprenticeship) is Electrical Worker Grade 3, $922.42 per week. This classification applies for the period of the apprenticeship. All apprentices receive pay rate increases from the Award when due. Travel to/from work is the responsibility of the employee. Any travel associated with work and during work hours is provided by CountryEnergy.
