New South Wales Premier's Country Energy Indigenous Education Scholarship
Country Energy is continuing its support of the $10,000 New South Wales Premier's Country Energy Indigenous Education Scholarship. Our support of this scholarship program complements our award winning Indigenous Employment Program, which provides long-term career opportunities in country and coastal communities. All teachers currently teaching aspects of indigenous education across the curriculum in New South Wales schools and TAFE New South Wales Institutes are eligible to apply. The award is for the study of aspects of Indigenous Education relevant to the New South Wales curriculum.

Keep Australia Beautiful
Country Energy has supported various Keep Australia Beautiful Tidy Towns initiatives for a number of years. In 2007 we are proud to be the major sponsor of the Country Energy Energy Innovation Award reinforcing our commitment to environmental and community issues in rural and regional New South Wales.
This award encourages, promotes and recognises groups and organisations which actively reduce their energy consumption across all activities. The Country Energy Energy Innovation Award recognises those communities who are actively utilising green forms of energy and/or practicing successful forms of energy conservation.

Cancer Council Financial Assistance Grant
Country Energy is providing funding for the Cancer Council Financial Assistance Grant which is designed to assist those with cancer who are facing substantial hardship which may be affecting their quality of life, accessibility to treatment or levels of stress with a one off grant of up to $300.
Country Energy customers are able to apply for this grant through a social worker who will contact the Cancer Council for an application form. The grant funds sourced from Country Energy are used to benefit patients within the Country Energy distribution franchise area.
Sustainable House Day
This is the second year that Country Energy has been involved with the Sustainable House Day event. Sustainable House Day aims to showcase sustainable design and to encourage the adoption of sustainable design features in existing homes and new homes in Australia. The focus is to show how simple, easy and cost effective sustainable living can be.
