At Country Energy, we're serious about implementing strategies to reduce our environmental impact. We're also focused on embedding our corporate values throughout our business. This is reflected in how we treat our employees, customers and suppliers, and how we manage our community relationships.
What does corporate social responsibility mean for us?
We see it as a commitment to building sustainable business strategies and policies through relationships of trust and integrity with all our customers and stakeholders. We also see it as being pioneers in environmental management.
How have we measured our achievement in this area?
Country Energy participated in Australia’s fourth Corporate Responsibility Index (CRI), a voluntary benchmarking tool publicly accounting for our approach to corporate responsibility, including our impact on the environment, community, workplace and marketplace.
In our first year of participation, we received the 'Best Newcomer' award. This is solid recognition that we’re stepping up to the increasing expectations of our employees, customers, stakeholders and communities. It is also evidence that we're working to ensure that corporate responsibility values are driven throughout every aspect of our business.
Participating in the CRI has helped us more closely examine our corporate responsibility programs, while providing a benchmark for continual improvement.
