If you are building a new home, business or development, then you need to arrange for connection to the electricity network.
For a house or small business, this may only mean arranging the installation of a dedicated service line from the new premise to the nearest powerline.
For larger projects such as residential subdivisions or industrial/commercial developments, this may involve alterations to the electricity network itself in order to meet your power needs.
Either way, most of the works involved in the connection process are now contestable. This means that you can choose from a list of Independent Accredited Service Providers to do the work. Country Energy is fully accredited and can perform any part of the connection process for you, but the choice is yours.
- A list of all Independent Accredited Service Providers can be found on the Department of Fair Trading website.
