
Improving supply reliability and quality
Major recent network investment projects for the North Western region include:
$2 million to upgrade transmission circuitbreakers and other associated network protection equipment at theWheelers Lane zone substation in Dubbo.
- $1.3 millionreconductoring of 17 kilometres of electricity line, between Geurie andWellington, which will upgrade the supply and enhance services to meetdemand into the future.
- $150,000 upgrade of two kilometres of powerline from Coonamble zone substation, including the line to the showground, to improve reliability.
- $135,000 project to complete construction of an alternate powerline to supply the village of Geurie, completing a high voltage ring system which will improve reliability and allow for greater operational flexibility.
- $130,000 upgrade of one kilometre of powerline in Tamworth Street, Dubbo, between Brisbane and Fitzroy Streets and one kilometre of powerline in Gipps Street, between Tamworth and Cobra Streets, in preparation for the construction of a new zone substation in southDubbo.
