Innovative energy solutions
Does your business use energy and water effectively?Country Energy’s energy answers can identify, implement and manage an energy solution tailored to your specific industry or business. energy answers offers a wide range of specialist products and services, from the installation of power factor correction and energy efficient lighting and air conditioning to thermography, energy audits, motor controls and cogeneration. Here are a few examples of how we can improve your businesses bottom line.
Energy and water audits
Our energy and water audits can be carried out for electricity, natural gas, diesel and water consumption. As well as saving energy and money, an energy audit allows businesses to reduce operating and maintenance costs, improve asset value and performance, raise awareness of energy issues amongst staff and document greenhouse gas reductions which can help some businesses to obtain government rebates.

Kapillary Irrigation Sub Surface Systems (KISSS)
KISSS are a new generation underground irrigation system, which uses up to 60 per cent less water than current drip irrigation systems. The systems are the most efficient form of irrigation, as they apply water directly to the root zone. KISSS can be used for both standard irrigation, using either mains or tank water, or for grey or recycled/wastewater dispersal and can be installed with minimal disturbance in grassed areas and gardens, with the option of being completely automated with the use of timers. energy answers can arrange the supply and installation of a KISSS system through Irrigation and Water Technologies (IWT).

NABERS – the National Australian Built Environment Rating System
energy answers employs Accredited Assessors, who can rate buildings with NABERS. The NABERS scheme rates the environmental performance of existing buildings, using measured annual operational impacts on the environment.NABERS is a national initiative managed by the NSW Government. The NABERS ratings for offices include NABERS Energy, previously known as the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR), as well as NABERS Water, Waste and Indoor Environment. Ratings can be awarded for the base building (central services), a tenancy or the whole building. Energy and Water ratings are also available for hotels.
Power Factor Correction (PFC)
PFC is a measure of how effectively you are using power and is measured between one and zero (with one being the perfect score). You can find this value on your energy bill. If you regularly score less than 0.9, you have a low power factor, and may be paying more than you need for your electricity.
The installation of specialised equipment can reduce your energy bills through lower monthly peak demand and capacity charges. And if your electrical system is near its capacity, the installation of PFC equipment can help avoid costly infrastructure upgrades, by lowering peak electrical demand on your system.
Pre-construction audits
Our highly-trained engineers can assist with everything from undertaking pre-investment studies such as risk management, environmental impact studies and feasibility studies to cost estimates, definitive engineering and selecting the best plant configuration and design.
We can even assist with cost control, contracts and procurement, quality assurance, training programs, operating manuals and audit support for project bankers.
Imagine the convenience of having someone assist in developing capital expenditure budgets, energy and water efficient building systems and commissioning and testing!
Stand-by generation
Stand-by generation is usually an on-site diesel or gas generator that can provide electricity in the event of a power interruption, during test runs or at times of high demand. It is particularly popular with recreational clubs, emergency services and retail outlets.
Sub-metering
Sub-metering involves installing a meter to record energy usage for each individual user within multi-tenanted properties such as shopping malls or rented office space.Download the product sheet
Thermal imaging
As used by emergency services in search and rescue operations, thermal imaging equipment can help prevent major plant shutdowns, lost productivity, costly repairs, electrical fires and skyrocketing insurance premiums. This service is particularly popular with local government and the wine industry, which requires electrical equipment to be operating effectively during peak periods.
