What is LPG and where does it come from?
LPG stands for Liquified Petroleum Gas. It is a non-toxic, non-corrosive hydrocarbon fuel. Heavier than air, it contains one or more of the gases propane, butane and propylene. LPG can be stored as a compact liquid under moderate pressure, and is then burned as a dry, gaseous vapor. Is produced in refineries from oil using a process called fractionation.
As a Country Energy LPG customer, you don't have to pay when we deliver your LPG, which means for approved customers there is no need for Cash On Delivery (COD). The charge simply gets added to your Country Energy account.
Plus - with Country LPG there's no up-front annual service fee. We spread the cost over the year for you, in easy to manage instalments. Depending on your needs, we can either deliver a new LPG cylinder to your premises or you may be able to access our top-up service.
