In NSW, Country Energy provides the following concessions. These are funded by the NSW Government:

NSW Government Energy Rebate The NSW Government offers an energy rebate of $130 per year to cover electricity and gas accounts. This rebate is only payable on the principal place of residence. The rebate is calculated on a daily basis and will appear on your electricity account as a separate line item. You must be listed as the current electricity account holder to be eligible. Centrelink Pension Card Selected Centrelink Health Care Cards Categories as follows: (CD) – Carer for child under 16 with a disability (Note: The energy account must be in the name of the child’s Carer listed with Centrelink. The Carers Centrelink reference number must also be provided.) (SA) – Sickness Allowance (SP) – Special Benefit Department of Veterans' Affairs Pension Card Department of Veterans' Affairs Pension for War Widows or War Widowers or a Disability Pension at the "totally and permanently incapacitated" (TPI) or "extreme disablement adjustment" (EDA) rates (as shown on the Repatriation Health Card i.e. the "Gold Card").
Water and Sewer Rebates Pensioners living in NSW may be eligible for rebates on their water account which are administered by your local water provider. These concessions are partly funded by the Government. The rebate is calculated on a daily basis and will appear on your water/sewage account as a separate line item. You must be the owner/occupier of the property to be eligible. Contact your local water provider for more information.
Life Support To be used on the principal place of residence only, the NSW Government offers life support rebates to eligible customers. The rebate is calculated on a daily basis and will appear on your electricity account as a separate line item. Please note - spouses, dependants and relatives who normally reside at the service are also able to claim the rebate via the account holder. The account holder must apply for the rebate and provide a doctors certificate confirming the use of the equipmentat the premises. Click here to download the Life Support form. Medical Energy Rebate The Medical energy rebate is for eligible customers who are medically diagnosed with thermoregulatory dysfunction. The rebate is a flat rate amount of $130.00 per year and will be available from 1 Jan 2010. The rebate is calculated on a daily basis and will appear on your electricity account as a separate line item. Please note – The account holder or anyone residing at the residence is eligible for the rebate provided they are diagnosed with thermoregulatory dysfunction. This requires a signed form by a medical practitioner and the account holder must have one of the listed eligible cards. Thermoregulatory dysfunction is associated with certain conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. An applicant must meet at least one of the primary and one of the secondary qualifying conditions to claim the rebate. Caravan Park Rebate Funded by NSW Government, an energy rebate of $143.00 per year is available for pension card holders to cover electricity and gas accounts for customers residing in a caravan park on a long term basis. This rebate is only payable on the principal place of residence. The rebate is calculated on a daily basis and will be paid into your nominated financial institution every two months.
